Steven McKinney has studied statistics at the University of British Columbia and the University of Waterloo, and biostatistics at the University of Washington. A practicing applied statistician, his goal is to help non-statisticians with statistical analysis and associated computing activities. Past positions include biostatistician with the Ontario Cancer Institute at the Princess Margaret Hospital, biostatistician with the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine division at the University of Washington, statistical consultant with Insightful Corporation, and private statistical consulting and software engineering engagements. His research interests include statistical computing and large scale inference for biomedical studies.
