We are pleased to announce the BC Cancer 2025 Summer Research Studentship competition. 

The interactions within the tumour microenvironment can impact the effectiveness of cancer treatment, which is why Dr. Katey Enfield has centred her new BC Cancer lab on studying the spatial interactions between cancer cells, tissues and structures within the lung and applying new technologies that maintain spatial organization. 

A new study co-authored by Dr. Rafael Meza, scientist with BC Cancer, reveals the significant live-saving potential of policies that raise the minimum legal age for purchasing tobacco products.

The Order of Canada is one of Canada's highest honours. Presented by the Governor General of Canada, the Order honours people making extraordinary contributions to the nation.

​Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, announced today the appointment of Dr. Marco Marra as an Officer of the Order of Canada.

A pan-Canadian research team led by Dr. Helen McTaggart-Cowan, a BC Cancer scientist, will receive $183,500 through a new Patient Voices in Research Initiative from the Terry Fox Research Institute’s Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network (the Network) to examine barriers to accessing homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) testing for patients with advanced ovarian cancer.
