The Gynecologic Cancer Initiative Trainee Webinar Series will take place over 8 weeks starting June 5, 2020. Each webinar will provide a fulsome overview of the molecular biology, epidemiology, prevention and treatment of all gynecologic cancers. This includes uterine cancer, vulvar/vaginal cancer, cervical cancer, and ovarian cancer. We will also touch on some important considerations for any trainee conducting research in this area, including survivorship, incorporating the patient experience, and considering the intersectionality between sex and gender, and providing culturally and medical competent care.
Each weekly webinar features two experts from BC’s Gynecologic Cancer Initiative who will introduce the basics of gynecologic cancer, while also discussing the latest advances and research in their field.
We encourage all Canadian graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with an interest in gynecologic cancer to register. It will be a great opportunity to increase your knowledge across all gynecologic cancers, to hear from experts in the field, and to connect with other trainees working in the area.
