The Nursing and Allied Health Research and Knowledge Translation (NAHRKT) department is dedicated to fostering innovation and excellence in interprofessional research and knowledge mobilization. Its primary mission is to drive evidence-informed advancements in care, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes and enhanced system performance.
Practice-based research is where front-line providers, patient and family partners, and other collaborators engage to tackle complex, real-world challenges that directly affect patient care and experience. BC Cancer’s Indigenous nurses provide culturally inclusive health care in communities across the province and are a significant source of comfort and safety for many Indigenous Peoples who access our systems of care.
