Lilia Laihem is a Research Project Assistant at BC Cancer’s Nursing and Allied Health Research and Knowledge Translation (NAHRKT) department. Lilia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Food Nutrition and Health at University of British Columbia and also works in lab administration at BC Cancer in Pathology. Lilia’s goal is to advance nurse-led and allied health research initiatives to improve clinical practice and promote patient-centred care through research-based evidence and knowledge translation.
She is currently working on the development and coordination of research projects including the pilot study using an online patient-reported outcomes measures portal to optimize breast cancer follow-up care and the advance care planning knowledge mobilization project to support oncology nurses in engaging in advance care planning conversations across B.C. Cancer.
