Megan is an accomplished healthcare leader with a background in nursing, clinical informatics, and transformational program development. She holds Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Education degrees, along with professional certification in clinical informatics (CPHIMS-CA). Megan’s career includes leadership roles at the First Nations Health Authority, the South Okanagan Division of Family Practice, and previous Director roles here at BC Cancer.
With extensive experience in pediatric critical care nursing and nursing informatics, Megan has led initiatives across multiple organizations that leverage digital and virtual health technologies to enhance collaboration, education, and quality of care. Her leadership in program development and quality improvement has contributed to the development of provincial evidence-based guidelines and improved care outcomes.
Megan's interests pertain to change management, health equity, use of technologies for knowledge translation, and leveraging the power of electronic clinical data to measure and improve health and system outcomes.
Megan provides strategic leadership in the development and coordination of research initiatives and knowledge translation at BC Cancer. She oversees the integration of research with nursing and allied health practices, supports the advancement of evidence-based care, and collaborates with leaders across BC Cancer and the health system to drive innovation and research capacity building with priorities outlined in the B.C.’s 10-year Cancer Action Plan.
